Fortune Cookie Embroidery

I love the strange and happy things that come along with my Vietnamese take-out, hidden in little cookies...

I've had this fortune, cracked from a nasty old cookie long ago, tacked to the wall of my studio - and the paper is now full of holes and wrinkled and basically seen better days. I decided to give this happy sentiment a more pleasant display.

It's a perfect thought to hang over the studio desk of any of you rising Etsy artists and makers out there!

This embroidery is done on linen, on a 4" hoop. The back is closed nicely using re-purposed waverly upholstery fabric and signed with my initials (MS).

I'll be doing a whole series of these! If you have a fortune you've had tacked up or stuck to your fridge forever that you'd like done, convo me for a custom order any time.

Do you actually eat the cookies? I feed them to my dog. He loves them.
