Repurposed plastic fishing float decorative orange bowl upcycled recycled

There I was walking in my happy place (Whalen Island Park, beautiful Northern Oregon Coast) when I happened upon this gorgeous orange slice. Actually a portion of a heavy plastic fishing float...how it ever evolved into this orange peel shape, we may never know. I turned it over in my hands, noticing how the back appeared mottled, much like an orange will when it's a bit past its prime. I instantly pictured it as a bowl to hold fruit in. How perfect. I took it home, sanded it as smooth as I could with my electric sander...that plastic is SUPER tough...sprayed it with a protective gloss enamel clear coat spray and played around with the decorative masterpiece. I list it here as a useful piece of home decor...not sure it's suitable for actual food. I've pictured it with some wooden mini fruit and a special round rock of mine. I'm sure you'll find special treasures fit for this mysterious little bowl to hold.
