This is a merino lined soaker or diaper cover reconstructed out of 100% handknit, felted wool. Cozy and thick for extra absorption, it is the perfect accompaniment to a cloth diaper. In the last photo this listing is displayed on the left side with the solid back. ❥❥❥

Wool has also been traditionally used to cover cloth diapers, like many of the soakers on Picky's site. Wool fibre exteriors are hydrophobic (repel water) and the interior of the wool fibre is hygroscopic (attracts water); this makes a wool absorb a substantial amount of moisture, while feeling dry to the touch. Wool felted and treated with lanolin is also air permeable, antibacterial, and resists the buildup of dirt and odor. Some modern cloth diapers use felted wool fabric for covers.
