Earlier this year, it was announced from the Royal family in Sweden, that Victoria, our Crown Princess, is engaged to be married in June 2010. And the nation cheered! Some people argue that monarchies are outdated in these modern times and should be transformed to republics. But you know what – I like our Royal family. I like the idea of a King and a Queen in a Royal Palace and I like the whispers of old times and the connection to centuries past. I like all of that and I can’t wait for the Swedish Royal Wedding.

This cuff was created with an ear towards those “whispers of old times”. From sterling silver wire I shaped the swirly focal and wrapped it with hair thin wire. I adorned it with luscious Freshwater pearls, Mystic Blue Quartz and lovely faceted rondelles of White Sapphire. From the lower part of the focal one big drop shaped Freshwater pearls demand your attention.

As a back drop for the focal I’ve used a double layer of ivory white satin-silk ribbon with three layers of interfacing between them for stability. And between the ribbons…. an amazing piece of lace from the Christian Dior Lingerie factory. The lace is very soft with embroidery with a subtle sheen on a soft net and just pure luxury. The cuff closes with an ivory white satin-silk ribbon.

Total width approx 15cm (5.9”)
The focal is approx 4,5 x 5,5 (1.8” x 2.2”) incl. drop pearl.
Fits wrists from 18,5cm (7.3”)

If you have a smaller sized wrist I can change this to your size. I would however require 7 extra days for shipping.
