Bananas Foster - sterling silver and fabric necklace
Description
“Intellectual property has the shelf life of a banana.” -- Bill GatesFrom my series of metal and fabric works.
A funky gear is softened with the surprise of yellow silk. The sterling silver pendant is hand-cut by me and placed over the silk, then backed with another silver gear. The metal is oxidized to show-off the fabric’s color and texture. The layers are connected with a bunch of steel bolts. Very different, very cool.
Pendant measures just over 1-inch round and hangs from an oxidized sterling silver rolo chain, finished with a lobster clasp. Overall necklace measures approximately 16 inches.
