Dobby - Original Screenprint/Lithograph

Here I am again, making more animal prints. I can't help my love for furry/fluffy/feathery friends!

This is Dobby, my roommate's 2-year-old orange tabby. He still very much acts like a kitten, stampeding about our small apartment looking crazed! He's one of those cats that you have to feed proper meals, or he'll eat you out of house and home. But he's a sweetheart, and will plop down in your arms when you're trying to type, purring up a storm.

A combination of hand-printed screenprint and lithograph, this print was born from stencil-based, squeegee-pulling printing (the colorful layers), as well as the black lithograph layer that began as a grease-pencil drawing and was printed from a traditional lithographic stone (a process that is slowly becoming archaic as these stones, harvested from a single quarry, disappear). This is a beautiful piece of artwork created in a limited edition of 15!

Each print is numbered and signed by the artist.
This is print number 1/15, printed on white Rives BFL (a thick, soft paper).
