Maple Acer wood dish

Description

A very attractive wooden dish hand woodturned from English Maple Acer wood. This particular piece of wood was salvaged from a garden near where my father lives in Enfield, London, UK.

The acer wood has some slightly red colouring to it and this is evident in the 'dish' part of the wood. The underneath is my favorite - the original bark has been left on the wood and finished with several coats of Danish Oil to leave a stunning glossy finish. (see photo 4)

Measurements: 10" x 7 wide at widest parts of dish. Stands 2' high. Diameter of 'dish' is 4.5".

This dish is a solid piece of wood, the result being it weighs 1.25 1b.
