Relief print

This hand pulled relief print is printed without borders on Japanese Kitakata paper. The paper is very thin, delicate and a natural cream color.

What I enjoy the most about this print is how when I was working on it I had to keep changing how I thought about the mark. Is it black line on white or white line on black? It is both realistic and abstract at the same time. The distinction between foreground and background is unclear and the overall effect is one of pattern.

The print was recently in my BFA Printmaking Exit Show and in a national juried show Trees in Art hosted by Trees Atlanta

This print will be shipped rolled (it unrolls flat without a problem)
