Larger oval serving dish stoneware with shino and celadon glazes

Description

This is a wheel thrown and altered piece, high fired in a gas kiln with a light reduction atmosphere to achieve the variations in grey and rust colors typical of a shino glaze, seen on the exterior. The interior is a green celadon glaze. Each piece is unique, part of the charm of handmade work. This piece is approx 5" W x 4 and 1/4 in H x 11" in L.

This piece is part of a series I've been designing and developing for over 5 years.

Handmade functional ceramics should ideally be hand washed to extend their lives. This piece is food safe (no lead in any of my glazes), microwave safe, but would rather not be placed in an oven.
