For as long as I can remember, I've collected quotes. A strange past time for an average 8 year old... but I loved it. I founds words to be...well... pretty!

Some of the best quotes I have collected over the years are Trinidadian sayings. All of the Islands in the Caribbean have their special quotes. A lot of them are variations of the same sentiment. But there is something about the way that Trini's handle words. It's the verbal equivalent of chicken soup: looks strange in the pot but tastes damn good!

The four quotes on this painting are:

1. Never See, Come See...
2. Same Khaki Pants.
3. Band Your Belly.
4. Playing Dead to Catch Corbeau Alive.
