Porcelain Bowl

Description

This is a wheel thrown piece, high fired in an electric kiln with a copper blue crackle glaze on the interior and a clear glaze on the exterior. It's made out of Southern Ice porcelain, an Australian porcelain known for it's beautiful white color and translucency. Each piece is unique, part of the charm of handmade work. This piece is approx 6 inches in width and 3.5 in height.

This piece is part of a series I've been designing and developing for over 5 years.

Handmade functional ceramics should ideally be hand washed to extend their lives. This piece is food safe (no lead in any of my glazes), microwave safe, but would rather not be placed in an oven.
