This graceful 16" necklace is finished with an elegant sterling silver clasp and sterling silver beads at the ends of each strand. The charity that will be benefitted by the sale of this item is Baal Dan. Baal Dan was created to help children in India who are orphans, street children, or poor and malnourished. Baal Dan researches and evaluates organizations that serve street children and orphans in India, and then works with these organizations to bring additional aid to the children they support, including providing the children with better food and living conditions.

The cost of three modest but nutritious meals in India is 33 rupees a day.
33 rupees is the equivalent of 80 cents.

The money from the sale of this necklace alone will feed an orphan in India for a month. This donation will provide a child in an Indian orphanage with nourishing meals three times a day, every day for a month – rice, lentils, milk, vegetables, bread, and noodles, and even foods that are considered luxuries, including fruit, peanut butter, jelly, and cookies.
