Stylized Dragonfly Bowl Webb Stoneware Pottery

Description

This toasty looking durable stoneware bowl with its rustic charm is ideally suited to both the kitchen and the table.

Measures approx 5 1/4" W x 2 3/4" H and has a finished foot.

Made of Alabama clay found near our studio, this pot was formed on the potters wheel, decorated using a combination of a warm looking satin matt spodumene glaze and some stylized brushwork decoration, then high-fired in a gas kiln to approximately 2400 degrees Fahrenheit.

Glazes are durable and will stand up to the rigors of daily kitchen use. I usually recommend washing all pottery by hand, but I have put mine in the dishwasher with little to no problem. (We do not use commercial glazes)

While this handcrafted bowl is quite durable, it is not Pyrex and should not go from freezer to oven. Always place cold pottery in a cold oven.

As with all my pottery, this piece is signed and dated.
