Mermaid Mixed Media Painting

Description

Meet Sea Flower, the little Mermaid. She loves to frolic in the waves, but right now she is dreaming about what it would be like to walk on land!
This is a 12x12 deep gallery canvas. The sides are painted black, so there is no need to frame it...just hang it as it is. I have used oils, acrylics, layered vintage and new papers, mica flakes for a little shimmer on her tail, and as you probably noticed, some shells! It is finished off with a coat of gloss sealer, which helps to bring out the depth of the layers...(although makes it difficult to photograph).
