Liquid Swirl Focal Bead

Description

These beads are made with a base of black, ivory or other contrasting base colors, dotted with various color combinations and swirled. I place silvered ivory in between the colors to enhance the swirls and give a varied effect. The whole bead is then encased with clear, hand-flattened and hand shaped before I place the final accent dots on the edges and place them in the kiln.
These versatile beads can be strung on a headpin to dangle down from a necklace or strung straight across on your favorite cord, chain or wire-strung necklace.

This large, gorgous bead was made using a base of beige/tan in which I swirled rubino pink and purple on the surface which gave it this beatiful toned-down/natural look but with it still having color. I finished with accents of rubino pink and purple dots over the tan.

This bead measures 34mm long (from hole to hole), is 30mm wide and 12mm thick. 3/32" hole.
