Blue Ruffled Edge Stoneware Plate

Description

This lovely blue glazed stoneware plate is textured with a lace doily. It has ruffled edges and would look lovely serving yummy tidbits at afternoon tea or holding a scented candle beside your bubble bath. The glaze is lead free and the plate is microwave and dishwasher safe and safe for food service. The bottom of the plate is glazeless and 4 felt feet are included so are to insure no scratching.

Creative Notes:
I collect vintage doilies from thrifts and yard sales. Most of my doilies come to me stained or torn, cast aside because of condition problems. I give them new life by impressing them into clay so the patterned can be treasured for future generations as plates, bowls, and other clay creations. These lovely fiber creations of generations past bringing forth ideas for new creations from clay. This plate features an impression of a handmade lace tablecloth I found at a local thrift store.
