One-of-a-Kind Denim Stilletto Handbag

Another great, one-of-a-kind bag from "a little bit behind©." I use denim jeans to create unique purses and bags, adding embellishments of wool, rug hooking, & vintage trims and buttons.

This one is a little over-the-top, but isn't it fun? The bottom of the purse is a vintage sparkle denim stilletto to which I've sewn part of a pair of DYNY Jeans, creating the top of the bag. The front and back pockets of the jeans are usable and add flair with their original embellishments.

I used the original belt loops to carry a wool belt, and tied it into a pretty bow. I added matching wool along the length of the handle and embroidered on top with some navy zig-zag stitches. Finally, I addeed two gold-tone star buttons to finish off the front of the bag. An ombre, blue silk ribbon runs along the edge of the shoe to add a soft touch.

Magnetic closures are just inside the top opening and are covered with wool. This bag measures 11 x 11 inches (at it's widest points) and top to bottom with the handle is 19 inches.

Where will you ever see a bag like this again? Way too much fun for that girls' night out!
