emerald green vintage Shawnee bow knot vase

Description

The Shawnee pottery company was in business from 1937 to 1961 and was based in Zanesville, Ohio.

This Shawnee vase is a pretty green, somewhere between kelly and emerald. It stands 9" tall and is almost 6" at the widest point.

The vase has a lovely flared top, two closed decorative handles, and a knotted bow on each side. The bottom of the vase is marked USA 819.

This piece is in excellent vintage condition. There is a small chip on the bottom of the vase, on the unglazed bottom, as shown in the last photo. It does not go up into the glaze.

This would be a lovely piece for the collector or for someone looking to begin a collection of Shawnee pottery.
