Border Collie Repose - Original Etching

Description

Athena is my 13 year old Border Collie and Skye is our 4 year old pup (or should I say bratty teenager). When they have quiet moments sleeping in my studio I can't help but paint quick sketches of them on small wood panels.

These panels have become the source of imagery for a series of solar plate etchings of my studio companions. This image is Athena waking from a nap to an itch.

Original hand pulled prints by Nicole Strasburg. Printed on Rives BFK white and cream paper. Ink is Graphic Chemical Bone Black.
