ORGANIC GUNPOWDER GREEN TEA - 4 oz Loose Leaf

Description

This is a delicious green tea from the Anhui province of Eastern China. The tea leaves are specially selected for quality and size, and then are rolled into tight little nuggets. According to legend, the name was given by a young English clerk who thought the little green nuggets looked like gunpowder.

This tea is very dense, so a little bit goes a long way. Only 1-2 teaspoons is necessary for a whole pot of tea, and no more than ½ a teaspoon should be used for a single cup. Because the nuggets are so tightly packed, the hot water causes them to unfurl and sink gently to the bottom of your cup, adding a pleasant, graceful visual to the experience.

Steep for 2-3 minutes in 180° water.
