GPS controlled IN-14 Nixie Clock

Description

A sophisticated GPS controlled IN-14 Nixie Clock for sale. This clock was not designed by myself, but purchased as a set of PCB's from www.tubehobby.com. As an avid electronics fan and general cool/retro stuff lover I sourced the IN-14 tubes from Eastern Europe, the components and put together a few clocks and have permission from the designer to sell these. The case was designed by myself and professionally fabricated from acrylic by a local shop then the whole clock was assembled by hand. Notice that the base is milled from a single piece (not two pieces glued) and that the rear of the case has a rounded cutout to provide access to the push buttons and inputs.

Everything is included, the clock, custom case, power supply, instructions and a brand new serial GPS receiver so your clock is always accurate (given a good GPS signal).

The clock has many features including 12/24 hour, date, programmable daylight savings and programmable on and off times and battery backup among others. It also features a tube saving routine whereby every minute the date scrolls across the tubes to prevent burn in of the nixies. This clock uses a 12V wall socket power adapter and not direct mains voltage. However, high voltages are present on the circuit board so care must be taken if the top is removed whilst the clock is on. The circuit board is also fused to prevent accidental short circuits.
