An amazing textile collage of sewn necklace pieces is one of a kind.

Unveiled is my new necklace design which consists of a multitude of colored fabrics intricately sewn and placed in a menagerie of beautiful Fall colors. Copper silk, deep purple cottons, satiny black, and vegetative greens are mixed. This necklace reminds me of Himalayan jewelry, which is usually collages of beautiful beads, but I love Bhutanese culture and this is my ode to it.

Desira Pesta has held a need and want for all things she does to be as ecologically unimpacting as possible and has lived and worked this way since she was a wee tot. There is no fabric waste in this skirts construction and all of the fabric used is designer cast-offs.

Designed, cut, constructed, and sewn by Desira Pesta in a one woman studio in NYC.
