Turquoise Blue Hand-Dyed Shawl Silk Organza Bubble Wrap- Made to Order

Those are characteristics of those who would wear this wrap.

This Silk Organza Bubble Wrap was dyed using low impact fiber reactive dyes. After dyeing, I embedded different objects into the cloth around the edges and randomly elsewhere, heat set them, then removed the objects to leave the shape permanently embedded in the cloth. The texture is reminiscent of bubble wrap. Hence, Bubble Wrap-to-wear!

Why not use this wrap as something blue for your wedding? Or, wear this to a prom, as Mother of the Bride finery, or just to drink a cup of tea and stare out your window? Wear it loosely, pin it to your shoulders, tie the included ribbon in front or the side or the back (makes a cute bustle). I also make hand-crocheted fine silver wire bracelets that adjust to fit your wrist or to tie the wrap (see photos for example). Convo me for details.

This "Bubble Wrap" is made of 2.5 yards of hand-dyed blue silk organza. The pattern of three-dimensional texture was made using contemporary Japanese shibori techniques that are permanent with special care. Rolled hems are sewn using polyester thread for durability.

Currently, the turquoise Bubble Wrap is available as a made-to-order piece only. Please allow up to 2 weeks before shipment. Of course, if you have a deadline, I can try to work with it. Just let me know in the message to seller, or convo me before purchase.

All amtextiles come wrapped securely in a gift box with hand-dyed ribbon. amtextiles that do not come with ribbons attached will find a complimentary hand-dyed ribbon inside their package to aid in the wearing of the wrap!

Simple Bubble Wrap Care:

Home dry cleaning systems are the recommended method for cleaning.
For a limited time, a home dry cleaning system that can be used in a dryer will come with every purchase!

Please do not iron the bubbles, but go ahead and iron the rest of the piece on medium heat.

Please do not immerse in water, but getting it a little wet is fine.
