The design and colors in this necklace bring to my mind images of a far away fantasy land with green rolling hills and huge castles, where strong warriors must defeat formidable dragons to get to their damsel in distress imprisoned high in a castle tower. The necklace, to be worn by the newly freed maiden, is like an eternal symbol of the love between her and her knight in shining armor, with an image of the dragon that was defeated to free her.

I made this necklace using light amethyst heishi beads punctuated by rounds of beautiful green nephrite jade between sterling silver beads. The pendant is a 25mm round disc of purple jadeite surrounded by sterling silver, with a fancy dragon design cut out of the front of it. The necklace closes with a sterling silver lobster claw clasp and is just over 16 inches long. All metal is sterling silver.
