Vintage Owl Square Dish - Stoneware - Otagiri Original Hand Crafted in Japan

Description

Small square dish decorated with a wise looking owl sitting on a pine tree branch. Owl is done in shades of brown with yellow “shoulders” and white around its eyes. Tree branch and leaves done in brown and green. All against a pale gray background speckled with brown.

About 3.5 inches square, tapers to a base of about 2.5 inches square. Label on the bottom notes Hand Crafted Otagiri Original Japan. Otagiri is known for its stoneware.

Condition is good, no chips or cracks. Bottom shows very slight use wear. Great as a small soap dish for guests, use it to hold paper clips or other small notions at your desk. Wonderful to hold a small stash of sweets as well!
