I've had the idea for this piece for a very long time. I wanted to make a pearl creation and my inspiration behind the piece was not 'weddings' as the title may initially suggest, but that a woman should celebrate herself, her beauty and her femininity *every* day of her life, married or single, in a crowd or in solitude.

So! Here we have my expression of this sentiment - an extra long necklace designed to be worn as much with a casual pair of jeans and plain white t-shirt as with a summer dress.

The 'necklace' aspect is created wiith stunning quality Freshwater pearls that are wonderfully lustrous and they look particularly fabulous against the dark silver - a juxtaposition that I fine most alluring and a raised eyebrow to outmoded concepts of what is chic.

The handforged centrepiece is a textural mix of intricate wirework and exceptional gemstones: White Rainbow Keishi Pearls, Aquamarine, Moonstone and white Totpaz - not forgetting the awesome chandelier-cut focal at the bottom and diamond-cut focal in the centre of glistening Clear Quartz.

This is most definitely a 'statement' piece - it will get noticed! However, due to it's melodic palette it does not 'shout' - think Audrey Hepburn as opposed to Marilyn Monroe. The necklace measures a long 28" and the Fusion pendant measures 5.5" in length.
