Custom Dog Portrait With Colored Pencils on 11x14 Bristol Board

Description

Dogs love attention, so why not honor your main squeeze by having a portrait of him or her made? This listing is for a custom dog portrait on an 11x14 piece of Bristol board, a heavyweight archival quality paper. The drawing will be full-color and done with Prismacolor colored pencils.

The image in this listing is of two dogs (Dexter and Noodle!), with the original photo on the right. Your portrait will be done on Bristol board with a minimal background, usually a solid or tonal color which complements your pet's coat. A simple background like this helps to keep the focus on the subject, which will make your pet stand out and get the attention they totally deserve!

If you would like me to draw more than one dog or a portrait in another size, please message me with your ideas and I will respond with a price quote.

I will work from photos provided by you to capture your dog’s unique personality. Photos should be sent to shannon [!at] shannonmclaughlin.net (high resolution images are preferred). The photos must be a clear image of your cute canine (more than one photo reference is ideal, but not necessary). I may crop the image to create a more enticing composition and create the best possible portrait of your furry friend. It would be helpful to know the pet’s name (so I can title it accordingly) and get a sense of their personality, as well as your favorite color, which I would be happy to use as the solid background color.

I will email you a scanned image for your final approval, but keep in mind that it is difficult to make too many changes when using colored pencils. I will do everything I can to make sure you are 100% satisfied with the work. All drawings are protected in a plastic sleeve with cardboard backing to ensure their safe delivery.

Please note: Because this item is custom made, I can only start working on your dog portrait after I receive payment. Most portraits take 4-6 weeks depending on size, etc.
