Leather Corset Vest by Char Vintage 60s Hand Painted Mexico M L

Description

This is a one of a kind, authentic vintage vest by Char. Very RARE and collectible. Sexy corset tie front with leather ties threaded through metal grommets. Whip stitched leather seams on sides and ties at shoulders. Sleeveless, cropped, with deep scoop neckline. Gorgeous hand painted flowers, swirls and zig zags. The back is not painted. Unlined. Char's hand painted leather accessories and clothing were made in Mexico from 1968 to approx 76, or 77. Her early work exemplifies the hippie esthetic, with novelty patchwork, hand painted details and leather cording.

Length 16.5 inches
Bust 36 inches (with cording tied tight in front)
Bottom of vest 28 inches
For reference our mode has a 34" bust and we did have to clip the vest in the back as it was too large.

Condition:
Better than EXCELLENT condition. Lovely in every way. There is a fold line on the back and natural variations in the leather which I do not consider a flaw. I have not used any leather cleaner or conditioner on the vest. Clean and looks unworn.
