Artist Statement:
I'm fascinated with the way everyday objects come to life when we invest our energy in them. Things live in relationship to those things that surround them. They weigh heavy with the memories that we give to them. Children, especially, know of the magical quality of toys. I watch children playing with respect and sometimes envy. Objects in their hands take on a life of their own. "Father and Child" is about the sweetness shared between a parent and a child and the magical quality of play.
