Description

Title: Volcano Hummingbird

●This is an open edition giclée print on archival watercolor paper, signed and titled on the back, reproduced from an original acrylic painting by Chad Frick.

●This image shows a hooded figure in a foggy tropical cloud forest examining a stylized 'volcano hummingbird,' or Selasphorus flammula, one of the tiniest hummingbirds around. Inspired by my hikes and observations in Cerro de la Muerte, Costa Rica.

●Printed image size is 5 x 12½ inches, the print has a 1-inch white border for easy framing, matting or just to pin up, poster-style. Paper size is 7 x 14½ inches.

●The watermark, "©ChadFrick," is for these web images only and does not appear on the actual print.

●The print is a giclée, meaning it is a fully archival reproduction of the highest quality.

●Technical Specs:
This giclée print was created to high standards of reproduction with materials tested by the Fine Arts Trade Guild to resist fading and discoloration in excess of one-hundred years. It was produced on an Epson 9800 printer using the eight-color k3 ultrachrome inkset which results in a wide color gamut, excellent color saturation and incredible sharpness. The conservation grade paper has a weight of 310 gsm and caliper of 22 mils. Composed of 100% cotton, the paper is acid and lignin free and does not have any optical brightners which degrade over time. It has a ISO brightness factor of 95.6. As with all fine art, for maximum longevity, this print should not be displayed in direct sunlight or subject to extremes of temperature or humidity.

●Since you’re viewing a low-res version of this print on a computer monitor, you should know that colors may vary slightly, and that the actual print is way more crisp and colorful and that the artist worked personally with the printer to ensure the best print possible.
