Spark Chamber - handspun merino glitter yarn - geek nerd physics

Description

I really like particle physics and one of my favourite particle detectors is the spark chamber. Though it's already quite old-fashioned I always love to watch the little violet lightnings appear and race through the dark wall, indicating that a muon made its way from its origin in a particle cascade in the atmosphere to the earth's surface (due to its relativistic speed, otherwise it would have died after some
microseconds, but I shut up now and spare you the details and calculations).

Single yarn from extrasoft black merino with sections of handcarded merino fiber in violets with angelina sparkle fiber. The glitter and the black yarn is not easy to shoot, but I hope you get an impression.
