Very nice optics trapped in the glaze.

I’ve thrown this lidded canister using a fine grained cone 6 white stoneware clay and finished it using multiple handcrafted studio glazes. I’m very happy with the development of this body of work, the surfaces and forms that have been created for this series of spring canisters have really been quite stunning. It’s been based on exploring the juxtaposition of swelling and constraint of a form that, for me, speaks of the promises of spring. The result is a simplistic quite beauty that fits very well into our personal spaces.

This is a medium sized handcrafted gift canister that’s perfectly suited for nearly any occasion. Fill it up with chocolate and your special someone will love you even more.
