I have been baby wearing and making carriers for over 3 years. After all the experimenting I have found what I think is the ideal mei tai carrier! This carrier is versatile and comfortable as can be, works for infants (with head control) and toddlers, and is reversible! What more could you and your little one ask for?

Mei tais are a traditional Japanese form of babywearing that has been used for many centuries. Unlike baby bjorn and other soft structured carrier that allow babies legs to dangle and harm the spine, a mei tai puts the weight where it should be spread across babies bottom. The legs go around mamas waist as in a seated position.

All seams are doubled stitched with extra strength thread, weight bearing seams are triple stitched AND boxed stitched for ultimate safety and durability.

Straps are made from durable yet soft canvass. Body is 3 layers, one of canvass, one of denim and one of cotton. All soft enough for babies skin but thick enough to retain strength and shape of carrier.
