Description

This yarn was handspun by me in soft Corriedale wool, and hand-dyed by Crown Mountain Farms in various light to dark greens, gold, brown, orange, rust, and a little black, with lovely transitions in between. One ply; super bulky weight; thick and thin style; light, squishy and soft! Mostly short color repeats. There is enough for a scarf here and then some! 8.1 oz, 248 yards, about 5 WPI.

The estimated yardage* for a basic adult scarf in Stockinette stitch without fringe (8”x72”) is:

Super Bulky • 130 yards • 4 – 5 WPI • size 13/15/17 US needles

*Please note: yardage estimates are for stockinette stitch – more elaborate stitching requires more yarn. Your knitting tension or gauge is also a factor – looser knitting with larger needles will make your scarf stretchy, larger and have more drape, while tighter knitting with smaller needles will make your scarf stiffer, with less drape and smaller.
