Pieridae and the Language of Flowers large mixed media painting

Description

18 inches by 24 inches acrylic and mixed media collage on cradled wooden artist panel. The panel has a 1 inch profile and comes ready to hang on a wire, without a frame.

This is part of my series of Post Eden paintings. I have a variety of images I've merged in order to express the delight I find in exploring my spiritual quest through the humble still life. Here I have juxtaposed an iris and daffodil from my back yard with a painted tray, circles from a reproduction of Giotto paintings from the life of Jesus and moth and butterfly imagery. I hope my use of color expresses the joy that is part of the process.
