Crowd of Victorian Babies Magic Lantern Light

As the mother of a newborn, I know I spend a lot of time up in the night changing diapers, searching for binkies, making sure the little babe is still breathing, and I almost always trip over something in the darkness. If only I had just the right little glow to light my way. Well if there was ever a nightlight made for mothers who feel their arms are always full of babies this is the one!

This one-of-a-kind nightlight has been made from an antique Magic Lantern slide from the Victorian era. This AMAZING slide made from a collage of baby faces (at least 40!) has been carefully disassembled and turned into a nightlight by me in my stained glass studio.

All the stained glass work and soldering has been done by me in my in-house studio. The glass work in this piece measures approximately 4" tall by x 2.5" wide and is securely soldered to the light base which will work with a standard US two-prong outlet. I've chosen to frame the piece in unisex colors of lemon yellow and cloudy white and topped it with three cabochons in pastel shades of green and blue. Though the illumination of the bulb enlivens the entire piece, this lamp looks just as beautiful off as it does aglow.
