The Blue Brocade Cocktail Dress - Vintage M

Oh my! This is such a stunning dress. If only it fit me, I would not be letting this one slip through my fingers! It's simply beautiful, and in the most wonderful condition. Made of electric blue brocade with a metallic design in salmon pink and silver, this dress feels like it must have belonged to a socialite who flitted around cocktail parties with finesse and grace. With it's full skirt and lovely box pleats, it is just begging for a poofy crinoline!

Condition: Very good.
Label: None...I think this was probably custom made by a dressmaker.
Size: I would say this is a comfortable medium.
Measurements: Bust 37, Waist 29, Sleeve Length from top of shoulder 18, Bodice Length 11.5, Skirt Length 25.25 (The underside of the hem is 5 3/4 inches wide - plenty of room to be let out if you are taller!)
Material: I'm not really too sure of the fiber content. Lots of metallic thread in there, though.
Date: 1950s
