I'm leaving this bears name bland so that the new owner can have the privilege of naming him themselves. These bears are brand new line of designs I'm working on. Each one is an individual one of a kind bear.
Styled in a classic 1920's and 30's bear pattern with a hump at the neck.
His arms and legs are button jointed but his head doesn't not move.
This bear wears a wonderful pair of pants with suspenders, made from cuddly wool felt in a lovely shade of pink and cinnamon red.
The buttons are vintage.
As it is winter down here in Tasmania I knitted him a little brown wool blend cardigan and brown and red striped beanie with a wool felted pom pom, to keep him warm and toasty.
His beanie and cardigan may be removed when the weather warms up.
This bear fits exactly into the palm of your hand and feels lovely.
The button around his neck has a little picture of his friend Mr Hedgehog. A childhood friend from his days in the wooded forests of Cradle Mountain when they grew up.
Only the bears body has been distressed with coffee, sandpaper a little wax and crayon. A little coat of varnish over his body is to help protect him from the elements.
His nose and mouth and paws are hand embroidered in black and his body is machine sewn except for small areas on the body that are finished off by hand.
This bear's eye's are made from glass. His joint buttons are gray vintage.
The bear is 7 inches high and 5 at his widest.
All my bears come with a date of birth, production number and a hand signed signature from me!
Sadly my bears are not a child's toy due to the small parts. Though he will sit happily amongst your child's shelf of toys and books. He is a collectible bear.
