Description
This is so cool! I found this pendant on my latest excusion for treasures. It was the membership badge for the IOOF or "Independent Order of Odd Fellows". This order started in the 1700s in Europe, here as early as 1812. They are active today, and their motto is "TO IMPROVE AND ELEVATE THE CHARACTER OF MANKIND".
This oficial Member badge is antiqued brass with red writing. THe detailing is beautiful and reminds me a little of a carnival sign. There is a vintage rhinestone drop with 8 fairly large stones.
The chain is antiqued brass with a lobster clasp.
Member sign measures 2" x 1"
Rhinestone drop measures 1" x 1/2"
Length around necklace is 16"
