Elizabeth - Custom Save the Date
Description
When we’ve got something to say, we like to say it in style. So enter these beautiful and simple custom invitations. The perfect way for you to break the news without breaking the bank. Every design can be tailored to fit your requirements, including changing colours or fonts so that it’s just the way you want it. When you’re happy with your invite, I will email you a high resolution file, and you do the printing. Simple!
This means that you have complete control over how your invites look, and more importantly how much they cost you.
All invites are 5 x 7 and can be printed by your usual photo service – Target, Walgreens, Walmart etc. or any of the online services.
If you want to print the invites yourself at home, or use a copy shop like Kinko’s, then let me know when you place your order, and your invites will be formatted to print 2 to a page on 8.5 x 11 paper.
So, how does it work?
1. Choose and purchase your favourite design. If you don’t see a design that will fit your needs, convo me and I can create a custom listing.
2. Email me the details to be included on the card. Names, dates, address etc. and any photos that you want featured. Also included your colour choices, and any font changes you would like. Email all of this to coquette.and.dove [!at] gmail.com.
All my designs are for 5 x 7 prints but can be scaled down to 4 x 6 or up to 8 x 10. Let me know if you would like a different size.
3. I will email you back within 24 hours of payment with a proof for your approval. This is an important part of the process and it’s always a good idea to get someone else to cast an eye over the details in case of any mistakes. A reasonable number of revisions can be made, after all you’re the customer, so we want you to be happy!
4. Once you approve the proof, I will send you the final high resolution file. You can then take it to your favourite photo shop or upload it to an online service for printing.
PHOTOS
Pictures should be submitted in their original state, uncompressed.
You can submit your photos in either .jpg or .png format. It's best if the resolution is 300 dpi or higher. Your pictures can also be be converted to black and white or sepia or changed to Polaroid format for no extra charge. I cannot improve the resolution of a low resolution photo, so please take the time to choose your pictures carefully.
It is illegal for me to use images that are copyrighted without the permission of the copyright h older. By submitting photos, you agree that you are the photographer or have permission from the copyright holder. You also agree to take full responsibility for any misuse of copyrighted images and agree to not hold me liable for any misuse of copyrighted images submitted by you.
PLEASE NOTE: Unless you ask otherwise, images of your design may be used within listings in my etsy shop. All personal details will be changed. If you do not wish your design to be used, please let me know. Thank you.
F.A.Q.
Q: Can you print my cards for me?
A: Not yet. I will be offering a printing service soon, but at the moment it’s all down to you.
Q: Where should I have them printed?
A: Anywhere. Where do you get your photos printed? Target? Walgreens? Costco? They can do it. You can upload the file to an online site that ships directly to your front door, or take the file to somewhere like Kinko’s for printing on cardstock.
Q: What if I don't like the colours?
A: Then I’ll change them! Most of the colours in my designs can be changed. Take a look at the colour chart. This is by no means a definitive list, but a good starting point for choosing the colour combination you’re after.
Q: What if I don't like the fonts?
A: Then I’ll change them too! Nothing is off limits, so just ask. My mother always taught me, ‘if you don’t ask, you don’t get!’
Q: Can I add a quote or change the wording?
A: Of course.
Q: I’ve seen the design I want, but I want to use 3 pictures, not one.
A: Then I’ll juggle things around so that the design works with the number of pictures you want to use.
Q: How many changes can I make after you send me the proof?
A: As many as it takes to get the card you want. (Although there is such a thing as a silly amount of changes, and while we love a bit of silliness, we’ll let you know if you’re running out of chances!)
Q: Can you do me a matching design for a Thank you card, RSVP card etc.?
A: At the risk of sounding repetitive, of course I can!
Q: What if I like your style, but can’t see a design that fits the bill?
A: Get in touch. I would be happy to create something different just for you. And while I am not quite superhuman, I will do what I can to produce your heart’s desire. This process may cost you more, but we’ll discuss that upfront so there’s no surprises.
Q: How do you take your tea?
A: Being British I’m quite particular on this front. Black tea should be Yorkshire Gold served with milk and one sugar. Earl Grey should be loose leaf with a splash of milk and one sugar (apologies to all you lemon slice purists). Stop by anytime, the kettle is always on.
