Washing - Original Digital Painting

Description

This painting is a continuation of my exploration of the use of different media for the same subject. A line of clothing, on a sunny day, caught my eye on a trip to South Africa. This is an original digital painting that was done in two programs called Art Rage and in Photoshop. Painting on the computer is very different from painting with a brush.I use a graphics tablet and stylus. I like this form of art because it allows me to be loose and "shoot from the hip". This painting inspired the making of a solar plate called "Laundry". You can see the original print in my shop.

The image is printed on archival Velvet Fine Art paper, with archival pigment inks. It will be shipped in a clear archival sleeve with supporting board to insure that it arrives safely.

Wickipedia defines digital painting this way : "Digital painting is an emerging art form in which traditional painting techniques such as watercolor, oils, impasto, etc. are applied using digital tools by means of a computer, a digitizing tablet and stylus, and software."
