Violet Princess Dress

Description

This dress has a classic gothic princess flair, perfect for prom or any special occasion!

Using gorgeous purple and black stretch crushed velvet I created the bodice, adorning it with striking corset lacing down the front. I trimmed the top with ruffled mesh elastic, ruching it in the back so that it hugs you, preventing the back from slouching down. There is a comfortable halter strap of stretch black lace to finish off the top of the dress.

The skirt, comprised of coordinating purple cotton and decadent black lace, was painstakingly ruffled for ultimate volume and vamp appeal. I shaped the layer of lace into a tulip-like shape (note: the back is the same as the front.)
