Opalized Ammonite

Description

This is a listing for an opalized ammonite fossil. He is a chunky, colorful little fellow and only hundreds of millions of years old- a piece of natural history! The fossil flashes a rainbow of color on both sides and was photographed dry. (The opalescence can be intensified by wetting the fossil with water or by polishing.) This piece could be encorporated into jewelry or added to a collection as a stand alone specimen.

This is an ancient piece of natural history which is also an inspiration stone for architects or anyone who constructs.
