Baby Blue Shibori Handwoven Chenille Shawl

Description

This shawl is hand woven using 100% cotton chenille yarn then dyed using a Japanese dye resist technique called shibori, which creates a wonderful organic looking pattern. This shawl has fantastic drape and is very soft, just as chenille should be, and suprisingly light. The pattern created by the technique used in this scarf gives a very unique organic look due to the way the lines seem to break off and reconnect in sporadic patterns, almost like tiger stripes. This shawl measures 17 1/2" (44.5cm) wide and 71" (180.3cm) long with 7" (17.8cm) fringe on either end making the total length 85" (215.9cm). This garment can be worn as a shawl, scarf, or even try it as a shrug.
