Gull in Flight

Description

A lovely handmade soft sculpture gull hangs from a nearly invisible length of fishing wire so that it seems to soar through the air.

This gull is almost entirely a creamy white fabric, with a small amount of blue and orange. Her body is made from high quality Kona cotton fabric and is stuffed very firmly with 100% wool.

Her legs are tucked underneath her and are made from wire that is tightly wrapped in dark brown floral tape. Stiff interfacing makes her wings stretch out and her wing feathers are torn strips of fabric that I have sewn down in rows to give them a light and lofty feel.

Embroidered eyes and a sewn and stuffed fabric beak complete this very special gull.
