West German Modernist Vase/Bay/Fat Lava

this is an outstanding piece of W.German ceramic from around the 1960's.

gorgeous robust form & colors. shiny glaze inside and out make the colors super vibrant.

this vase is not 'pitted & textured' as some of the later pieces are. it is smooth to the eye and to the touch...

the combination of firey orange and cerulean blue are dynamic and the deep brown glossy interior sets this combination off to perfection.

this robust form stands a generous 10" high. the width at the base is 6". (it extends out further above the base).

the handle is a glorious combination of the 2 main colors and extends out 4" from the neck of the vase.
