"Sunspots" is an original encaustic painting on mat board. The sheen created on the surface is achieved by the use of paint that is a combination of beeswax, damar resin and pigment. The warm reds, golds and oranges in this piece remind me of the radiant and vibrant colors of the sun.

The artwork itself is 4.5 x 6.5 inches (11.4 x 16.5 cm) and matted finished piece measures 11 x 14 inches (27.9 x 35.6 cm).
