Description
Skeptic, chemist, even wizard. The alchemist of ancient times was called many things. Their experimentation with different metals all had one goal in mind...to turn everyday metals such as lead and copper into gold.This is my version of alchemy...not to find gold, but to find beauty. I love the look of sterling silver and copper together with the tumbled garnets.
The copper has been hammer textured and wrapped with fine gauge sterling silver wire. The garnets are suspended on sterling silver wire which I torched to create hand made headpins. The whole thing has been oxidized to enhance its rustic beauty.
Very victorian, yet modern... almost steampunk.
