Baroque pearls foam up, silken and rippled and dotted with deep blue iolite, from a base of pale blue-green ocean kyanite rondelles.Baroque pearls are simply pearls that are irregularly or unusually shaped. For this lavish bracelet, I have selected pearls which have a wonderful, crinkly, whitecap texture; and hand-wired them onto a sturdy gemstone chain of kyanite rondelles.
The pearls are quite large, measuring about 10mm, and are near-round in shape. Each one has a very individual character, but they are well matched in color and luster.
The ocean kyanite rondelles that peek out from beneath this foam of pearls measure about 6mm around. They are complemented by 3mm iolite rondelles in a deep-water blue grey.
The bracelet measures about 8.5 inches (20cm) long, and is finished with a graceful fishook clasp in sterling silver and iolite.
