Pair Vintage Blue Mottled Spongeware Candlesticks Museum of American Folk Art

Description

Vintage pair of folk art spatterware candlesticks. Paper label on the bottom notes Museum of American Folk Art. Mottled blue central motif on light brown background. Top and bottom rims bordered by a shade of darker brown.

Height just under 4 inches tall. Diameter across the top about 2 inches, across the bottom about 3 and 3/8 inches. Opening diameter for candle is about 7/8 inches.

Good condition, no chips, some rubbing and darkening around the bottoms. Bits of old candle wax remain. No other markings other than the paper labels though the style is very similar to Pfaltzgraff’s America pattern which was produced up until 1989. Pretty set for your home!
